DECEMBER 23, 1988, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 460; Drivers shall keep both feet in the stirrups during the post parade, while in front of the grandstand, and from the time the horses are brought to the starting gate until the race has been completed. Drivers shall be permitted to remove a foot from the stirrups during the course of the race solely for the purpose of pulling ear plugs and once these have been pulled, the foot must be placed back into the stirrup. In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, PHILIP SYLVIO GIESBRECHT, PERM. ADD.: FORT SASKATCHEWAN, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: DECEMBER 23, 1988, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 458(2)(a)(ii)(c)(i)(d)(i); At any time while on the grounds of an Association, it is a violation of the Rules for a driver, or the person in control of the horse, to engage in any of the following actions with respect to their driving conduct: excessive action, which is characterized by unreasonable quantity or degree, including using the whip continuously and/or without allowing the horse time to respond; At any time while on the grounds of an Association, the whip shall only be used for safety purposes and for very light encouragement. The only movement allowed to encourage a horse is a movement of the wrist. It is a violation of the Rules for a driver, or the person in control of the horse, to use the whip to hit or make contact with the horse as follows: to raise their hand(s) above their head; A driver, or the person in control of the horse, is required to: keep a line in each hand for the entire race, from the starter's call to the gate until the finish of the race, except for the purpose of adjusting equipment; while driving #3 “WESTCOAST MCCOY” in Race 13, Saturday, November 15, 2025.

PENALTY: PHILIP GIESBRECHT is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) AND SUSPENDED FROM DRIVING (RACING) FOR ONE DAY, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2025.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER, GROOM, CHRISTOPHER GEORGE CURRIE, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: JULY 11, 1994, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on November 15, 2025, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for MARIJUANA, confirmed by Dynacare Laboratories on November 20, 2025.

PENALTY: CHRISTOPHER CURRIE is hereby FINED THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00), AND AFTER SERVING ONE (1) DAY NOVEMBER 15, 2025, IS SUSPENDED AND DENIED PRIVILEDGES OF THE GROUNDS (INCLUDING GRANDSTAND) OF ALL RACETRACKS IN ALBERTA THAT COME UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF HORSE RACING ALBERTA FOR A PERIOD OF NINE (9) CALENDAR DAYS, NOVEMBER 21 – 29, 2025. Following his suspension, provided CHRISTOPHER CURRIE pays his fine and provides a negative sample test at his own expense, he will be considered for re-instatement. (Second Offence)

MEETING: Century Mile Racetrack & Casino, Alberta, Canada - November 15, 2025

In the opinion of the Board of Judges OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, JACQUES WILFRED LAMBERT, PERM. ADD.: RED DEER COUNTY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. OCTOBER 14, 1982, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 343g(1)(a) Every person mounted or driving a horse on the premises of a race track must wear a protective helmet securely fastened under the chin, Mr. Lambert did not have his helmet securely fastened at anytime while driving #5 “RED N READY” in Race 12 (From start to finish) on November 14, 2025.

PENALTY: JACQUES LAMBERT is hereby INED THE SUM OF FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00)F

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid within ten (10) days.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER, BRET ALLEN LITKE, PERM. ADD.: EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B.: APRIL 3, 1994, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 123(1); Any person responsible for a horse stabled at a Horse Racing Alberta licensed racetrack must provide proof of a negative Equine Infectious Anemia (Coggins test). The test must be dated within the past 12 months (365 days) and submitted at least 48 hours before admittance to the racetrack. Proof of the negative test must be reported to Horse Racing Alberta Security. For full requirements, refer to Policy RLP012 Equine Infectious Anemia Policy; for having a horse on the grounds with expired Coggins at CENTURY MILE RACETRACK.

PENALTY: BRET LITKE is hereby FINED THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).

MAY 11, 1948, is hereby FINED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) for his unprofessional conduct towards another racing participant in a public area (grandstand) on Saturday, October 25, 2025. (Second offence.)

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 286(a), 287(1)(xxviii)(xxx) and 296(1)(a)(2)(a).

JOCKEY, OMAR AMADOR HERNANDEZ, PERM. ADD.: LEDUC, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. APRIL 2, 1991, is hereby FULLY SUSPENDED FROM ALL ALBERTA RACETRACKS for failing to pay his fine regarding Quarter Horse Ruling #27 dated October 21, 2025.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 286(a), 296(1)(a)(2)(b) and 297(1).

MEETING: Century Mile Racetrack & Casino - November 8 2025

Having had a hearing with the Board of Judges on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, via Teams Meeting, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, AUTHORIZED AGENT, JOHN BRANDON SCOTT CAMPBELL, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. JULY 5, 1983, regarding a breach of the conditions as applied to his licence on August 23, 2024 namely:

  1. JOHN BRANDON SCOTT CAMPBELL will refrain from using inappropriate or offensive language or using derogatory terms in the workplace; and
  2. JOHN BRANDON SCOTT CAMPBELL will maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with other horsemen or horse women, HORSE RACING ALBERTA employees and Century Employees.

As per the Penalty Matrix, Brandon Campbell was referred to Director, Regulatory and Supervisor of Racing, Chuck Ibey for penalty hearing regarding his conduct on October 17 and October 18, 2025.

After a hearing with Mr. Ibey, Brandon Campbell is hereby assessed a FINE OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) for his conduct at the retention barn on October 17, 2025. Mr. Campbell is also assessed a FINE OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) for his unprofessional and intimidating conduct towards another licensee on October 18, 2025, as per HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 287(1)(iii).

Brandon Campell is also SUSPENDED FOR SEVEN (7) CONSECUTIVE RACE DAYS which are STAYED provided Brandon Campbell has no further issues until June 30, 2026, at which time the suspended days will be removed. Any breach of his conduct will result in Brandon Campbell serving the suspension for the seven (7) consecutive race days.

The following conditions will remain in effect until December 31, 2026:

  1. JOHN BRANDON SCOTT CAMPBELL will refrain from using inappropriate or offensive language or using derogatory terms in the workplace; and
  2. JOHN BRANDON SCOTT CAMPBELL will maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with other horsemen or horse women, HORSE RACING ALBERTA employees and Century Employees.

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, OWNER/TRAINER/DRIVER, JAMES DAVID JUNGQUIST, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. MEETING: Century Mile Racetrack & Casino, Alberta, Canada - November 4, 2025

In the opinion of the Board of Judges, GROOM/OWNER, MEGAN LAURA CAMERON, PERM. ADD.: CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, D.O.B. JUNE 30, 1984, did violate HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 300(1)(c).

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019, and HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 296(1)(a)(2)(a)(b) and 300(1)(b)(c)(2)(c) after supplying a BODY FLUID SAMPLE on Saturday, October 25, 2025, that resulted in a POSITIVE SAMPLE TEST for an ILLICIT DRUG confirmed by Dynacare Laboratories on October 29, 2025.

PENALTY: MEGAN CAMERON is hereby FINED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) AND SUSPENDED AND DENIED THE PRIVILEDGES OF THE GROUNDS (INCLUDING GRANDSTAND) OF ALL RACETRACKS IN ALBERTA THAT COME UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF HORSE RACING ALBERTA FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) CALENDAR DAYS. Having SERVED one (1) day of her SUSPENSION, October 25, 2025, Ms. Cameron is hereby SUSPENDED FOR 29 CALENDAR DAYS, NOVEMBER 4, 2025 TO DECEMBER 2, 2025 (INCLUSIVE). Following her suspension, provided MEGAN CAMERON pays her fine and provides a negative sample test at her own expense, she will be considered for re-instatement.

A reduced penalty may be considered after fourteen (14) days, if MEGAN CAMERON has met with the Manager, Backstretch Development, and the Manager, Backstretch Development then makes a recommendation for a re-instatement as outlined in HORSE RACING ALBERTA Drug and Alcohol Policy dated September 1, 2019.

In accordance with HORSE RACING ALBERTA Rule 297(1) fine to be paid before reinstatement.
