Report on the Day’s Events:

Backstretch- accidents, fines, suspensions, objections, disqualifications, refunds, pertinent incidents, general details

  • Race 1 – Jockey Ricardo Moreno was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the Board of Stewards regarding the use of the riding crop.  Mr. Moreno failed to show up to the hearing and was issued a $100 fine (Second offense).
  • Race 1 – Jockey Alexander Marti was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the Board of Stewards regarding the use of the riding crop.  After reviewing films, Mr. Marti was issued a $300 fine (Third offense). 
  • Race 1 – Jockey Daniel Tavares was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the Board of Stewards regarding the use of the riding crop.  After reviewing films, Mr. Tavares was issued a one-day suspension Friday August 28, 2026, and a $300 fine (Fourth offense).
