2 Stewards inquiry regarding #2 Splashy Nightrider (Daniel Tavares) and #3 Mr Ghost Buster (Martin Ortiz) away from the gate. After reviewing films, it was determined that #3 did come in causing interference to the #2 horse. Therefore, #3 finished fifth and placed sixth. Official order of finish was 6-4-1-5-2-3.

Backstretch- accidents, fines, suspensions, objections, disqualifications, refunds, pertinent incidents, general details

  • Race 2 – Jockey Miguel Lopez was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the Board of Stewards for misuse of the riding crop. After failing to show up to the hearing, Mr. Lopez was issued a $200.00 fine (second offense).
  • Race 5 – Jockey Mauricio Malvaez was issued a slip from the clerk of scales of an appointment with the Board of Stewards for misuse of the riding crop.  After reviewing films, Mr. Malvaez was given a one day suspension.
