ASHA inks multi year racing contract with UHA for Century Downs

The Alberta Standardbred Horse Association (ASHA) is pleased to announce that a five year contract for horse racing at Century Downs in Rockyview County, Alberta has been signed with the United Horsemen of Alberta (UHA).

ASHA President Norman Kennedy stated, "Century Downs will provide horse racing fans in Alberta and western Canada with a new and exciting opportunity to enjoy live racing in a new facility that is rapidly nearing completion. UHA has pursued the dream of returning live racing to the Calgary market and are to be commended  for their dogged determination in realizing their vision."

Live racing will begin this spring at Century Downs with a full schedule of Standardbred racing featuring the best horses in western Canada racing. ASHA looks forward to reconnecting with our southern fan base and introducing exciting live horse racing to a new audience.
