Three fans get a 10-week FREE ownership ride... Neal Diamonique sizzles on frozen Northlands Park track... True Dynasty wins fifth straight...
John Kallas, Paul McGeein and Dale Lorenz are the lucky winners of a free ownership share of top-level mare Starring Role. The two-day contest ended Saturday afternoon at Northlands Park with those names be drawn - with each fan receiving a 13.1% share of the five-year-old mare.

Each fan will collect purse cheques from the pacer over the 10-week meet, but won't pay any bills. Starring Role - a winner of $102,620 in her career - is expected to make her first start of the Edmonton campaign next weekend. She will likely compete at the top-level in the mare's division.

BACKSTRETCH BANTER: Neal Diamonique is halfway to his 2009 win total after winning his 2010 debut on Saturday in Edmonton in 1:55.4. "He's been training great. I was a little surprised by the time but not the result," said trainer/driver Lance Ward. "He had a perfect trip - couldn't have asked for a better trip."

Neal Diamonique surges to the lead in deep stretch.

The winner of $280,000 sailed off the final turn in a three-wide path and easily won the $10,500 Saturday feature. Owned by Ed Dhoedt and Ernest Greenwood, Neal Diamonique won just twice in 27 starts last year. To watch the replay of today's victory, click the box below.

FINISH LINES: True Dynasty captured his fifth straight victory this afternoon for trainer Joe Ratchford and owners Daryl and Wendy Campbell. The $10,000 claimer is six for seven is his short career.
